Your
Dog and the Whistler Community
All dogs that live in
Whistler must possess and wear a valid dog license. Licenses are issued
annually from January 1 through December 31. Licenses are available for
sale at municipal hall or at WAG.
If you purchase your dog
license at WAG, 50% of the fee goes directly to WAG!
FEES
| Unaltered
Female or Male |
$50 |
| Altered
Female or Male |
$15 |
| Puppy

$15 |
|
Replacement tag |
$5 |
If you dog is lost, a license helps to identify the
dog quickly. This is especially important in the event of an emergency
or natural disaster.
If you are visiting
Whistler with your dog, please ensure that your dog is wearing a valid
license from the community in which you permanently reside.
Please note that Whistler has a leash law. Except as
noted below, at all times that your dog is within the municipality it
must be on leash. This is both for your dog's protection, and to protect
wildlife, other people and other pets. A dog off leash is liable to
seizure and impoundment (fines will apply).
