Meet the Staff of WAG

Paula Del Bosco - Executive Director
pdelbosco@thewagway.com

Paula has had a special connection with animals all her life. She walked dogs for the SPCA in Ontario as a child, and dreamt of having a place where unwanted animals could come and live out their lives until their perfect people arrived to take them home. She attended the Canada West Canine Center where she received a diploma in Kennel Management and Dog Obedience Training. She then started her own dog obedience business, and has been working to educate dogs and people for almost a decade now. She has been volunteering with PAWS, WAG, CARDA and most recently PADS.

Tony, Paula's dog, is also very excited to be working here at WAG. You will see him at the front desk greeting people during the week. Come in, say hi, and get him to talk to your dog about obedience, he is very informative!

Gayle Melenka- Shelter Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator - gmelenka@thewagway.com

Gayle has been involved with WAG for many years, always generous with her time volunteering at WAG. Gayle now works part time at WAG, delivering excellent care to the animals and keeping the shelter sparkling. As of September 2008, Gayle is also our Volunteer Coordinator.

Gayle is passionate about providing a high quality of life for the animals in the shelter and has an interest in pet nutrition. We count on Gayle to make sure that each animal receives an excellent diet. Drop in on Friday afternoons to see Gayle!

Dylan Jones- Shelter Assistant- djones@thewagway.com

Dylan is the youngest member of our staff, but has been involved with WAG perhaps longer than any of us! Dylan began volunteering with WAG after school and on weekends. Dylan provides wonderful care to the WAG animals. Dylan also keeps us all very tidy and organized and is our resident handy man too!

Madison Perry- Shelter Assistant - mperry@thewagway.com

Madison joined the WAG team in February 2009. She joined WAG out of a desire to turn her lifelong love for animals into a career. She hopes to one day become an Animal Health Technician.

In addition to her great passion for animals, Madison bring to WAG an amazing positive energy and a welcoming attitude for the community.
