     HAPPY TAILS

 Where are they now?

We want to know! Send us photos and an update of how you and your adopted family member from WAG are doing. Email WAG and attach the ending @whistler.ca.

Luigi

Luigi and his brother Tony were picked up hitch-hiking in the middle of nowhere in winter, north of Mount Currie. They won't tell us what they were doing there. Both of these endearing teenagers were adopted quickly and are now growing up.

New friends

Lucy

Lucy is a 6 year old Australian Shephard X that was surrendered to WAG when her parents started a family and no longer had time for her. She now has a new loving family.

Hyde

Hyde was born in a ditch and came to WAG in September 2007 with his nine litter mates. We think the "after" picture of him now says a lot about how much he is loving life these days.

Luke

Many visitors to this site won't even remember Luke because he was at WAG for such a short time. We loved this special little man but knew we wouldn't have him for long, even though he was shy.

He is now enjoying training classes, playing fetch, and running on the beach in his new home.

Sherman

Regular visitors to WAG last year will remember Sherman. He took his time picking out his forever home and recently sent us some photos so that we can see how he is doing.

Fonzie (aka Tony)

Fonzie was a very misunderstood pure bred Bengal cat. His first home had him declawed because he clawed at the leather furniture. He shared his second home with another cat that caused him great stress. Because of his stress he stopped using the litter box and was labeled as mean cat.

At WAG, we could tell he was really a lover though and we were fortunate to find a family for him who had the patience and understanding to help him work out his issues.

As you can see from these photos, Fonzie (who goes by the name of Tony) has found a great home and a very special friend!

Honey (aka Tess)

Honey and her sister Marshmellow were found all by themselves running on the highway north of Mount Currie. They were splotched in some kind of tar or glue.

But now, Honey goes by the name of Tess and life is well....very cushy!

Kayi (aka Topaz)

Kayi is a beauty who came to WAG in 2006 as a kitten (right)

You can see from the photos below that Kayi (now Topaz) has found her perfect match.

Topaz loves the Canucks!

Newton

Newton was one of a litter of 9 puppies that wound up at WAG in Sept  of 2007.

Cathy

US Immigrant!

Cathy, also known to us as Chatty Cathy, was found on a balcony and no one claimed her. She is outgoing and talkative. This girl now lives in Washington and goes by the name of Gabby. It seems that her talkative nature hasn't changed now that she is adopted!

Adopted March 2008

Beautiful's Hudson

Born Dec 11th, 2007 at WAG, Hudson and his 8 siblings were lucky to have survived the trauma of their mother being hit by a car while they were still in the womb.

Husdon now lives in the US with his new human mom and still goes by the name of Hudson!

Adopted Feb 2008

Trevor (aka Jake)

Jake is one of Beautiful's nine pups born at the WAG shelter in Dec 2007.

To the right is Jake on Jan 25 getting a bath at WAG.

Below is lucky Jake in his new home, which he shares with an older fur-sister named Lucy.

Friday (aka Eddie)

Friday and his sibling Marlow were two very young kittens that needed to be bottle fed around the clock. They struggled to make it but came through just fine.

Friday is now known as Eddie (or Edweirdo) and works at his mother's personal assistant (when he is not sleeping on the job!)

Peaches Tigerlily

Peaches loves her new family! She also likes to help with homework, hang out with her buddy Skittles (also adopted from WAG), and spend time in her pretty pink tent.

Kevin (aka Oscar)

Kevin was adopted from WAG in the fall of 2007. He grew fast and showed himself to be very smart, though he found his training classes challenging: So many dogs to play with!

Lemon

Lemon came to WAG in March 2007. She is social, active and much known for her jumping; so much so that we thought she may have eaten Mexican Jumping Beans for dinner!

With a bit of training and lots of play she settled into a wonderful dog. She now has a home where she goes for hikes and enjoys hearing "you are such a beautiful dog". Lucky Lemon!

Oriana

Young, Pregnant, and suffering from Mange; that's how Oriana arrived at WAG in Spring 2007. Oriana was fortunate enough to give birth at the vet's home and then she came to WAG with her litter. Very quickly she reminded us why she should not have have a litter, complaining that she would rather be at the mall than caring for her little ones. With MUCH hard work she and the WAG staff raised her puppies.

With proper medical care, a good diet and a loving new home, Oriana is now a beautiful and happy girl!

Arthur

Arthur, one of Orianna's pups. So like his mother!

Yogi

It's hard to believe now that this dog was diagnosed with Parvovirus and surrendered to the shelter as a result. Yogi is a very lucky puppy who bounced back from this deadly disease. Now he has a new home and is busy being a happy dog!

Adopted June 2007

Ralph

Ralph is a Wheaton Terrier mix that arrived at WAG in March 2007. He was a complete mess with his entire coat badly matted. Off he went to the groomer where he was shaved. Right after that he left for his new home where his doggy day care leaves him spent at the end of the day!
